Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StrideCheck mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated by Nullspark LLC ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What StrideCheck is (and is not)

StrideCheck analyzes short videos of your running and provides general fitness and educational information, including estimated metrics such as cadence, landing position, vertical oscillation, trunk lean, and foot strike. All measurements are estimates derived from a single 2D video and carry a margin of error.

StrideCheck is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have pain or an injury, consult a physiotherapist or sports-medicine professional before changing how you run. Never disregard professional advice because of something you saw in the Service.

2. Assumption of risk

Running and changes to your running technique carry inherent risk of injury. Any change you make based on information in the Service is at your own discretion and risk. Introduce changes gradually and stop if you experience pain.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Parts of the Service require a paid subscription: weekly or annual, billed through your Apple ID at the prices shown in the app at time of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime in your device's App Store subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Payment and refunds are handled by Apple under their terms. Purchases can be restored on a new device with the Restore Purchases button.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the videos you record or upload. You grant us a limited license to process your videos solely to provide the analysis you requested. Videos uploaded for analysis are deleted from our servers within approximately 24 hours. You are responsible for making sure any video you submit only contains people who have consented to being filmed and analyzed.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by reverse engineering it, attempting to disrupt it, submitting unlawful content, or using it in violation of applicable law. The Service is intended for individuals aged 13 and over.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, and illustrations, is owned by Nullspark LLC and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or content beyond personal, non-commercial use of the app.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of measurements. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nullspark LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for personal injury arising from your training decisions. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the Service and these Terms; material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. You can stop using the Service at any time, and can delete your on-device data from the app's settings.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Nullspark LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
